It’s a rainnnnyyy Monday and the sun isn’t even up and I’m eating cake for breakfast. Now that’s the life.
This is a quick and excited reminder that this Thursday, October 16th from 6 to ~9pm, we're hosting our very first evening event: a reading, Q+A, and book signing with author Darrow Farr. Farr's debut novel, The Bombshell, is the propulsive story of the kidnapping of French teenager Séverine Guimard by Corsican liberation fighters gunning for independence on the island. As Guimard finds herself more invested in the politics of the militants, she becomes the surprising face of a movement.
It’s such a good book. In the truest sense of the expression, I couldn’t put it down. I’ll be interviewing Darr and baking off some Corsican goodies and it’s BYOB if you fancy, but we’ll have a few beverages too. It’ll be a fun, low-key Thursday with a very good vibe!
There will not be tickets available at the door (so that I can figure out how many chairs I need before Thursday heh) so if you were thinking of joining us, get your tickets now.
