More pot pies and more sweet potato rolls 🍠
Good morning on this most hopeful and thrilling of mornings. The feeling of possibility and promise is suddenly everywhere, again. Here’s hoping we do something with it. 💙
We were pretty blown away by the excitement around our Thanksgiving preorders, as well as the excitement at the bakery last week. (We sold out before 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Thank you for coming! That was wild!) To make sure we can serve as many of you as possible for your Thanksgiving gatherings, we’ve added more vegetarian pot pies and more sweet potato rolls to our numbers for both Wednesday and Thursday. Click the button below to order — just scroll down a little on the homepage until you see Thanksgiving Preorders!
Order HereAdditionally, we are hiring another front of house counterperson! We realized last week, when both of our FOH staff was out, we really need a third person on staff who can work FOH so we’re hoping to bring someone in on Saturdays and Sundays to start, with definite more days/shifts as needed. We offer health insurance, $16/hr+tips (with a guaranteed wage of at least $21/hr), free food, a nice environment, and a friendly customer base. More information is here! Please apply! Or email me if you want to apply and have questions — we’re trying to hire soon!
Thursday Loaf
Our Thursday loaf this week is a sour cherry and candied walnut loaf, that features a nice percentage of sifted rye flour, and that is rolled in millet for a nice, pleasing crunch on the outside. It’s delicious.
Breaducation Book Tour Event

We are very excited to be hosting the Philadelphia date of bread legend extraordinaire Andrew Janjigian’s book tour. His cookbook, Breaducation, is incredible, and he’s been my bread mentor and friend for many, many years. Come hear us talk about all things bread, writing a cookbook, and eat some amazing snacks from Andrew’s recipes.

Dayna’s What’s Up Corner
Sam and I went to the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center in Fairmount Park and had such a nice time. It’s lovely there. I love going somewhere in Philly where I’ve never been! I’ve been reading like crazy, and it’s the best. Exit Party was so great. And so was First Love. I will warn you, though: both … depressing. And it’s only 2 more weeks until On the Calculation of Volume, Book 5 comes out! Who’s excited!
